Thank you for dropping by! As part of your visit to Voice Over Lane, I’d like to tell you a little about myself…
The journey that has brought me to the voice over business has been a compilation of many life experiences. As the saying goes, “things happen for a reason”. While I may not have realized it at the time they occurred, here are just a few of the stops along the way that have influenced and contributed to my VO talent and artistry, as well as my overall business acumen. These illustrate why I have the abilities and instincts to be your trusted source for high-quality, authentic audio projects.
Keeping it real: Starting as a child and continuing to this day, I love any opportunity to read out loud. It began with my dolls (or my mirror) as my pretend audience, then progressed to any friends or family who would listen. Whether it’s a short story, a novel, a newspaper article, or a how-to manual, my real audiences say it’s always memorable and meaningful.
Aspiring to broadcast: In college, my original goal was to become a broadcast journalist – specifically, a news anchorwoman. As it turned out, I majored in business administration; but I still gained the public speaking and presentation skills that enable me to rock the mic.
Being the voice of assurance: My time as a police dispatcher was one of the most rewarding roles in my career. When a calm and supportive voice is imperative, the community and officers that I served knew they could count on me.
Banking on integrity: My resume includes four decades of leadership in the financial services industry. A key skill that I developed here is facilitating training webinars and explaining product & service details to clients and fellow employees.
Always honing my skills: I have received professional voice over training and mentoring, and am laser-focused on doing what it takes to be the best at what I do.
